The COPING Centre is holding their annual cleanup day at their Cambridge facilities. COPING stands for Caring For Other People In Grief and assists through their free support programs people who have lost a loved one. One volunteer had this to say after the event: “It was a fantastic day where a handful of people from all walks of life came together to pitch in for a few hours. We did any number of jobs around the facility including stacking and burning wood, gardened, painting, laying sod, plus 50 others. The sense of community and fun was palpable, as laughter could be being heard all over the compound from the 25 or so volunteers that showed up. The work Coping does in the community is wonderful and I for one was happy to give them part of a day to help them be able to help hundreds more |
