A big thanks to everyone who helped us raise over $7000 in our 3rd annual beach volleyball tournament! In addition, vast amounts of food were collected to help stock the empty shelves during a very busy summer. Both the Eden Food Bank and UTM Food Banks were able to benefit from everyone's generosity. December 2007

On Saturday December 8th and Saturday December 15th, the Karen Shank Foundation hosted its 2007 Halton Women's Place Holiday Hamper Days. A remarkable group of almost 40 volunteers worked tirelessly for over 8 hours to sort, wrap, organizer and deliver hampers. It was a wonderful show of community support that included groups of friends and family.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Indoor Volleyball Tournament and Dinner on October 20th. Through your generosity, we were able to raise $7000 for Halton Women's Place! Pictures from the event are online, you can view them here.

August 20, 2007

The Karen Shank Foundation is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Indoor Volleyball Tournament will be held at Mentor College on October 20th, 2007. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Halton Womens Place, a shelter for women and children in the Halton region.

Recreational and intermediate divisions are available, with prizes going to the top teams and fundraisers. As with previous years, a dinner will be held after the event. More details will be posted shortly.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Beach Volleyball Tournament this past weekend. Through your support, pledges and donations, we were able to raise $9000 for the Eden Community Food Bank! This event couldn't have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors, volunteers and participants.

The Karen Shank Foundation is participating in the COPING Centre Clean-Up Day taking place on May 12 at the Cambridge facilities. The Karen Shank Foundation Board of Directors selected Eden Food Bank as its recipient for this year's June 2007 beach volleyball tournament. Help us meet our donation goal of $5,000 and support the shelter with your food donations. See our events page for more information.

The second annual Karen Shank Foundation Beach Volleyball Tournament will be held June 16th, 2007, at the Sports Village Oasis in Vaughan Ontario. The previous years' event was a huge success, with over 100 participants raising $6500 for the Halton Women's Place in Burlington, Ontario! Have a look at our events page for more information.
